Global venture funding ticked up year over year in Q2 2025, reaching $91 billion, with a greater concentration of capital into the largest funding rounds compared to a year ago, Crunchbase data shows.

Startups closed out 2020 in a much stronger position than the one they started the year in, with global venture funding up 4 percent year over year to $300 billion.
