The Escondido Police Department and COMPACT, an Escondido organization focused on education and creating safe communities, will host the 43rd annual National Night Out, at Grape Day Park from 6-9 p.m. on August 6. u00a0 There will be several different activities for kids, and a lot of organizations that will share important safety information. There will also be contests, entertainment, food, opportunity drawings, and much more.u00a0 These events help to educate the public about what these organizations do, and also how to stay safe.
