HUNTERSVILLE u2013 The Huntersville Town Board approved funding for the purchase of a key downtown property, held public hearings on multiple development proposals and approved rezonings during its July 21 meeting. Approved through the consent agenda was a $1.42 million budget amendment to purchase approximately 1.727 acres at 106 Gilead Road, adjacent to 760 Craft Works. Town leaders have identified the property as an important piece of future downtown redevelopment. The funding includes about $1.38 million for the purchase and $40,000 for surveying, closing costs and related expenses.
