Communities throughout the area are preparing a full slate of celebrations spanning July 3 to July 5, featuring fireworks and drone shows, festivals, parades and community gatherings from the inland valleys to the coast as they recognize the 250th anniversary of American independence. Even while doing so, officials continue to remind residents that personal fireworks are prohibited in most jurisdictions and strongly encourage attendance at permitted public displays due to heightened wildfire risk during dry summer conditions.
